Ponoć prywatne inspiracje muzyków zawsze mają spory wpływ na ich własną twórczość. Czym więc inspiruje się Cok? Czego spodziewać się po najnowszej publikacji Sosnowiczanina? Na album NuFunk składa się siedem instrumentalnych utworów czerpiących z gatunków boogie, future funk czy disco lat 80-tych. To wszystko przetworzone zostało przez personalną estetykę autora i przeniesione w odświeżonej formie na teraźniejszy grunt. NuFunk to przemyślana, melodyjna płyta oparta na brzmieniach klasycznych syntezatorów w akompaniamencie pulsujących rhodesów, okraszona delikatnymi, dopełniającymi fragmentami sampli. Całość skupiona wokół ciepłych, pozytywnie wybrzmiewających dźwięków, przywodzących na myśl wizję wyprawy cadillakiem w upalny, słoneczny dzień po ulicach Los Angeles. Ta podróż, dopełniona soundtrackiem NuFunk, mogłaby – oczywiście wciąż w wyobrażeniach – wzbogacić scenerię wielu filmów kina blaxploitation!

It is said that musican’s personal inspirations always have a big influence on their own music. So what is the main Cok’s inspiration? What can be expected from the newest production of a native of Sosnowiec? The album NuFunk consists of seven instrumental songs heavily influenced by boogie, future funk and 80’s disco. All of that was processed by author’s personal aesthetics, then refreshed and transferred into these days. NuFunk is a melodic and well thought album defined by classic synthesizer’s sound with a pulsatory rhodes with a pinch of complemented samples. The whole album is a very warm, positive sounding piece of art which brings to mind a vison of a soulful, Cadillac trip in the scorching, sunny day through the streets of Los Angeles. The journey with a company of NuFunk songs could have enriched – still as an imagination – a whole bunch of Blaxploitation movies!
